Recently the Wireless Communications Device policy was updated by the Rio Rancho School Board.

Highlights:

  • Applies to all students at all levels across RRPS

  • Must be powered down (switched off, not in silent mode) and stored during Instructional hours

  • May not be used to record other students in areas of expected privacy or when others are violating school policies or laws

  • Special Circumstances exist where wireless communication devices may be used involving students with an IEP, 504 plan or Health Management Plan
